This blog was originally launched in March 2010 and consisted of many posts which have now been deleted. I stopped blogging consistently in July 2011 when I began undertaking other writing tasks such as copywriting, speechwriting and ghost-writing. Now that I have developed the very useful skill of time management, I have refurbished the blog and will continue to post new articles afresh about…many things, as life is for sharing.

Blogging for me is a platform of self-expression. If WordPress was not invented, perhaps I’d be stopping random strangers at bus stops, trying to engage them in conversation. However, most importantly, blogging is a way to do what I love; write.

I am always interested in hearing feedback so don’t hesitate to leave a comment.

Asides from the blog posts here, I have had articles published in The Times, City AM, Here Is The City and Real Business.

What are your views on woman independence? I am intrigued into what you think. Thanks

    • Hi Simon,
      Thank you for your interest.
In what context are you talking about woman’s independence? Do you mean the rights of women in society in general?
I think woman play an immensely important role in society. Societies where women have access to education function better than those where women do not. I believe nature has dictated men and women to have some qualities and attributes that are exclusive to each gender but when men and women work constructively together these differeing attributes compliment each other.
I know I would not be in the fortunate position I am today without the help of many women in my life, most importantly my mother. Any society that does not respect or appreciate the value of its women will ultimately collide -painfully-with failure. One could argue Taliban controlled Afganistan is an example and one could also argue Britain and America are beginning the slow and painful journeys towards failure. All three countries, for different reasons, have extreme problems in regards to social attitudes towards women. You may be wondering what respect and appreciation for women means.
That is an answer I aspire to arrive at and I will document my travels on the journey to that answer on this blog at the relevant times, so please keep visiting regularly.

      Kind regards,
      Nafees
